Australian Aerosol Association gets new President

The Aerosol Association of Australia has announced the appointment of David Gurr, Supply Chain Manager for Pax Australia, as President of the Association.

Gurr joined the Association’s  Executive Committee in 2012 and has previously served in a number of roles, including as Treasurer and as Convener of the Organising Committee for the successful ‘aerosol2017’ gala event. He most recently served as Vice President of the Association.

Gurr has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and has worked in the aerosol industry for 15 years. He has been involved in the FMCG industry in various Supply Chain roles for over 30 years.

He has developed strong international relationships through Pax’s One Asia and ACOA networks, and is a passionate supporter of the Asian Aerosol Federation (AAF), of which the Aerosol Association of Australia was a founding member.

“I am proud of the Association’s achievements since the implementation of its new strategic direction and feel privileged to continue the legacy of my predecessors, as we work in ever challenging local and international communities”.

“The current Executive is a very diverse team with a great cross-section of knowledge in technical, production, marketing and supply and I look forward to working with them in the next 12 months” 

Retiring President, David Cowper, of Melbourne-based contract packer Ensign Laboratories stays on the Association Executive as Immediate Past President while John Tarrant , General Manager–Milperra & Taree for Jamestrong Packaging, is Vice-President.
