Mukund “Mac” Bhuta, aerosol chemist and EAA Board member, passes away

Mukund I.”Mac” Bhuta passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was 80.

Born in Mumbai, India, Mukund had lived in the U.S. since 1957. He was a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science and Temple University. He was employed by various companies (Pennwalt, Phillips Petroleum, Accra Pac, Aerofil), working for 21 years with L’Oréal in Clark, NJ as an aerosol chemist before becoming an aerosol consultant. Mukund was also member of the Eastern Aerosol Association and served on its board.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charu; his son & daughter-in-law: Sashin & Sushama of Burlington Township; daughter & son-in-law: Sonal & Matthew Halburnt of Apex, NC; 5 grandchildren: Rikhin, Kira, Aryana, Meela, & Rana. He is also survived by a brother, Suryakant, as well as other relatives and friends. Additionally, he is survived by sisters, Rebecca and Lois and brothers Andy, Karl, and Dave and the rest of the Glick family who lovingly took him in when he arrived in the U.S.mac 2
