The third annual British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) Innovation Day is set for April 10 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, UK. This free event, open to both BAMA members and non-members, will have presentations in the auditorium and products on display in the adjoining hall. This event is designed for industry executives exchange ideas and exhibit their products and expertise.

Seventeen speakers from different companies will join stakeholders to share the latest research findings and discuss industry trends, while exhibitors with expertise in all sectors of the supply chain will display technical innovations that increase efficiency, while reducing running costs and carbon footprint.

“The UK plays a leading role in the production of aerosol dispensers, being the third largest manufacturer worldwide and a major contributor to UK exports, with around two-thirds of the products being shipped to other countries,” said Patrick Heskins, CEO of BAMA. “It is only natural, then, that the latest news and developments in the aerosol technology are presented and discussed by international experts at the BAMA Innovation Day.”

Speakers include Rik Nuijen, director of innovation and development at Weener Plastics, Alloway UK scientist Michael McCulloch, regulatory specialist at UL, Rebecca Pickering, Paolo Venturelli, GM of Technopack Srl and Malcolm Large, technical manager for Lindal Valve.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics including the current challenges around sustainability, quality controls on production lines, labeling updates, the future of digital printing and filling methods for PET aerosols.

“Members and stakeholders throughout the industry have had extremely positive reactions to our previous Innovation Days,” added Heskins. “The event attracts some of the best minds, influential thinkers and innovative manufacturers in the aerosol industry and I’m confident 2019 will be another successful year.”

“Businesses are still facing high levels of uncertainty, not just in the UK but across Europe, and with an increasingly complex regulatory landscape to navigate, this event provides an excellent opportunity to network, share ideas and best practice as well as make new connections in the drive for sustainable growth.”
