Written on: January 28, 2020 by SprayTM

The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) and The Plastic Aerosol Research Group, LLC (PARG) are seeking comments on PARG’s new method: PARG Method 22.0, “Gasket Compression Non-Destructive Evaluation for Aerosol Products.” This method details the procedure on how to calculate the minimum percent gasket compression for a non-pressurized clinched container.

Reviewers will have until Feb. 27 to submit their comments to HCPA regarding the methods. For questions or to request a copy of the test method for review, please contact HCPA’s Aerosol Products Division Staff Executive, Nicholas Georges, at ngeorges@thehcpa.org.

The final method will be available for purchase on the HCPA website within PARG’s Aerosol Products in Plastic Containers Guide.
