L’Oréal has acquired Takami Co., created by Doctor Hiroshi Takami who also founded two dermatological clinics in Tokyo, Japan. Terms of the deal were not revealed.
L’Oréal also renewed a long-term brand licensing agreement with Doctor Takami and signed a collaboration contract with the Takami clinics.
The brand’s iconic product is the Skin Peel pre-serum, also called the “Little Blue Bottle,” and is well-known by Asian women.
Takami Co. had sales revenues of about €50 million ($60.9 million) in 2019.
