Formulated Solutions, a Florida-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in branded Rx, over-the-counter and medical device self directed consumer healthcare, has successfully completed the installation and qualification of its new high speed metered dose nasal production suite at its global production headquarters in Largo, FL.
The 9,000 square foot installation will support the company’s current and future pharmaceutical marketing partners in the high-speed production of metered-dose nasal spray applications. This dedicated, captive production suite leverages fully automated component sorting, filling, labeling, ELV and OCR to produce high quality, single and multipack selling units at rates reaching 200 units per minute.

“From dedicated secondary gowning, to captive pre-weigh, blending, and filling utilizing a 12-head continuous motion Endress+Hauser flow meter filler, to robotic palletization, Formulated Solutions is now positioned to provide commercial scale support of metered dose nasal sprays to globally distributed brands,” he noted.
In addition to this recent investment in new capacity and capabilities, Formulated Solutions continues to offer product innovation, formulation and manufacturing support to their branded Rx, O-T-C and medical device marketing partners.
