TUBEX Holding GmbH, Rangendingen, Germany, is acquiring Sirtok, Hungary-based aluminum packaging manufacturer Matrametal Kft. Matrametal produces aluminum aerosol cans and aluminum tubes and has more than 60 years experience. The acquisition was strategic in terms of location, customers and market, said TUBEX Managing Director Dr. Cornelius Grupp. It will also boost TUBEX’s annual production capacity to 700 million aerosol cans and 1.6 billion aluminum tubes at its seven production sites, which will employ more than 1,700 people, the company said in a statement.
