On April 26, the Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB) and the Household & Commercial Product Association (HCPA), in conjunction with and organized by the National Aerosol Association (NAA), held a plant tour and Aerosol 101 for members of California Air Resources Board (CARB) Enforcement at the Shield PLZ plant in Chino, CA.
According to the organizations, the event was an effort to stay involved with CARB and grow the aerosol industry’s relationship with CARB Enforcement.
The tour was spearheaded by Doug Raymond of Raymond Regulatory Resources (3R), who explained the motivation behind the tour in an exclusive interview with SPRAY.
“WAIB, HCPA, NAA and all the aerosol associations want to continually educate and encourage CARB to come to us first with their questions about aerosol products and reach out to us for any assistance when considering regulation of the aerosol industry.
“We also very much want to extend our thanks to Shield PLZ; we couldn’t hold events like this without a plant to tour,” Raymond added.
