SCC adds Education Award to 2024 Achievement Awards

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) is now accepting nominations for its 2024 Achievement Awards. New this year is the SCC Education Award, which recognizes an SCC member for making outstanding contributions to the field of cosmetic science education.

“Acknowledging innovative research, advancements, and significant contributions in the cosmetic sciences is part of our organizational DNA,” said Erica L. O’Grady, CAE, CEO of SCC.

“These prestigious awards recognize some of the best endeavors in the industry, including our newest SCC Education Award.”

SCC is accepting nominations for the following 2024 Achievement Awards:

• Maison G. Denavarre Medal Award is the Society’s highest honor. Named after SCC’s founder, it recognizes an individual for accomplishments in activities supporting the best interests of the cosmetic industry through technical contributions. Membership in SCC is considered, but not required. 

• Florence Wall Women In Cosmetic Chemistry Award recognizes a woman for significant accomplishments in the cosmetic industry through technical contributions, leadership skills, and business excellence. Membership in SCC preferred, but not required.

• The new SCC Education Award recognizes an individual making outstanding contributions to the field of cosmetic science education and mentorship. Membership in SCC required.

• Robert A. Kramer Lifetime Service Award recognizes an individual for extraordinary service to and distinguished leadership within Society activities over the course of their membership. Membership in SCC required.

• SCC Merit Award recognizes an individual for outstanding service, distinguished leadership and exceptional contributions to the Society on a National level. Membership in SCC required.
