There is still time to register for the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) fishing trip and seafood boil, taking place on Saturday, August 10.
The chartered fishing expedition will be aboard the Mi-Jo, docked in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The cost of the trip is $100 for SCC members, $110 for non-members, and $60 for students (unemployed/emeritus members are free). The price includes food (breakfast, lunch and snacks) and drinks (water, soda and beer); guests are asked to not bring their own coolers or their own drinks as everything will be supplied.
Additionally, the fee includes the use of rod, reel and tackle to fish for fluke and sea bass. The Mi-Jo crew will also fillet any fish caught prior to the end of the trip.
For those who only wish to partake in the seafood boil, the fee is $50 for members, $60 for non-members, and $40 for students, while unemployed/emeritus can join at no charge.
The Mi-Jo is located at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor, 2 Simon Lake Drive, Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The boat will leave the marina promptly at 7 a.m. (attendees should be on the boat no later than 6:45 a.m.) and will return at 2 p.m. The seafood boil will follow immediately afterward at the dock, until 4 p.m. Please bring sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.
