American Cleaning Institute (ACI) hosted its annual Charity Duck Race on Jan. 29 during the 2025 ACI Annual Meeting & Industry Convention at the Grande Lakes Orlando in Orlando, Florida.

Duck race enthusiasts flocked to the Lazy River at Grande Lakes for the Charity Duck Race, sponsored by Shell Chemical LP. Decorated ducks “swam” down the Lazy River towards the finish line with their cheer squad on the sidelines, raising money for the charity The WASH Foundation, an evolution of Clean the World Foundation.

The WASH Foundation is a leader in global health, recycling discarded hygiene products and distributing them to communities in distress around the world.

“We are honored to highlight and support the mission and efforts of The WASH Foundation,” said Douglas Troutman, Interim Co-CEO & General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Senior VP, Government Affairs.

“ACI, our member companies and Shell Chemical LP place a high priority on programs and partnerships that help provide better living for individuals, families and communities.”

Together, ACI’s members were able to donate $50,000 to The WASH Foundation.

Charity Duck race winners were:

  • 1st – Indorama
  • 2nd – Acme-Hardesty Co.
  • 3rd – ExxonMobil
  • People’s Choice – Shell Chemical LP
