NAA Holds “Aerosol Academy” to Educate New CARB Staff about Aerosols
During an interaction with California Air Resources Board (CARB) leadership in early July, CARB asked Doug Raymond, National Aerosol Association’s (NAA) longtime regulatory consultant, to help educate new staff members about aerosol products so they can understand the details about products that they may be considering for regulation. This will be the second seminar put on by the aerosol industry to educate CARB staff. The event will take place in Sacramento, CA on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 8:00am – 4:30pm.
In addition to educating the staff on aerosol product components and key ingredients, this Aerosol Academy, as CARB calls it, will also include education about certain aerosol product categories that CARB requested, such as body sprays, hair sprays, sun care products, dry shampoos, disinfectants and electronic & electrical cleaners. Marketers of these products now have an opportunity to educate CARB staff directly about how their products perform to meet consumer needs.
In commenting on this event, Joe Bowen, the NAA President & VP of Sales & Marketing of Aeropres Corporation said, “The relationship that Doug Raymond has fostered on behalf of the NAA and his clients with CARB is a key benefit to NAA members and to the aerosol industry. The opportunity and the value to meet these new regulators in person and to show them that our industry is made up of people and families that care about the impact that our products have on human health and the environment is immeasurable. Creating these positive working relationships has proven to help forge regulations that help both parties meet their goals.”
