ADF&PCD Shanghai program announced, set for March 27-28

L’Oréal, Beiersdorf and Kao are just some of the global brands taking to the stage as part of the ADF Conference at ADF&PCD Shanghai 2019. The educational program offers visitors the chance to hear from the industry’s brightest minds, as well as seeing the sector’s most cutting-edge technologies firsthand.

China’s only dedicated event for the aerosol, dispensing, perfume & cosmetic packaging and design community, which opens its doors on 27 & 28 March at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing, will deliver high quality content through an agenda that has been curated in collaboration with expert industry leaders.

Day one will kick off with keynote speaker, Willie Wan, Senior Packaging Manager at L’Oréal, talking about the latest market trends, challenges and opportunities. Martin Kung, Technopack Agent and Managing Director at Shanghai Nuozhong Packing Tech, will then present Technopack’s various innovations within the highly competitive aerosol can market.

Georges Bouille, Consultant at Lindal Group, will look at compressed air systems. He will explore everything from innovations, unique user experience and regulations through to how the latest systems can create new opportunities, build consumer satisfaction and deliver value for money.

With innovation in mind, Jianjun Guo, GM at Zhongshan Weiyuan Packaging, will present the company’s new generation of dispensing systems for the personal care industry.

Ofer Nir, VP of Marketing & Business Development at Velox Digital, will talk about “Unleashing the power of digital decoration for mass production.” During his presentation, Ofer will detail the company’s digital, direct-to-shape decoration solution, share insights about the powerful world of mass production digital packaging decoration and explore how brand owners can leverage such decoration technology as part of their brand strategy.

Ingredient protection, sustainability and being user-friendly are the three major trends facing the personal care, food and baby care packaging sectors. Seomon Wu, Sales Director at Shanghai JND Plastic Products will be closing day one of the show presenting the company’s latest developments designed to tackle these key areas.

Day two of the conference will kick off with a keynote presentation from Bernhard Felten, Global Packaging, Technology Innovation at Beiersdorf. This will be followed by a session from Yashima Noboru, Senior Manager R&D – Core Technology – Package Development Research at Kao Japan. Yashima will introduce Kao’s philosophy and action on plastic packaging and detail its 4R campaign – reduce, reuse, replace, recycle. He will explain how Kao believes reduce and reuse are just as important as replace and recycle. He will also present the company’s new advance ‘Smart Holder’ packaging.

For those interested in hearing more about the challenges of improving speed to market, attracting Millennials and sustainability, the talk by Matias Levit, CEO at Condensa, is not to be missed. He will delve into how these factors differ around the world, how to overcome them and what the next steps for the industry are.

Alexander Hinterkopf, CEO at Hinterkopf GmbH, will then take to the stage to talk about its new generation D240.2, which launches live at the show with several important upgrades. It is more precise, faster and more compact, compared to its predecessor, plus the upgrade delivers more intense colors with lower ink usage.

Sandy Luo, Sales Director at Zhejiang Jinsheng New Materials Co., will talk about airless systems innovations within the cosmetics and personal care markets, whilst Peter Lamboy, Consultant at LPC, will present its previously unseen aerosol can with new valve system.

Yoshino Iizuka, R&D department at Toyo Aerosol Industry Co., will speak about its DUAL system – Double-bag Ultimate AerosoL, while Ric Berger, Director of Sales at Clayton Corp., will close the show discussing the company’s eco-friendly technology for long distance spraying, high volume dispensing and foaming with inert gas.
