Aerosol valve specialists, LINDAL Group, has announced that ten of its employees will take part in a 1000 km cycling race to raise funds for cancer research. The four-day event will take place from May 30–June 2.

Part of aerosol packaging company, LINDAL Group, the ALTACHEM team effort will help raise money for ‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ (KOTK, the fight against cancer) —a charity that helps cancer patients, provides support for caregivers, and raises awareness of the causes of cancer.

The Belgian cycling route is divided into eight different legs of 125 km (two per day for those taking part), with one member of the team each cycling one leg at a time. With ten riders, three teams and the experience of competing in last year’s race, the team has set itself the ambitious goal of raising €15,000. “This is no mean feat as there are only 21 members of the ALTACHEM team, but they are determined to reach the target and we are behind them all the way,” said Jean-Marie Poppe, Managing Director, Altachem N.V.

“The entire team has been training incredibly hard and we are determined to go the full distance, both in terms of completing the full 1000km and achieving our target of €15,000,” Poppe said. “The charity and the essential services it provides is the best motivator of all and we will be putting everything into raising the full amount!”
