The Midwest Aerosol Association (MAA) Board of Directors has unanimously approved a $10,000 donation to the Northern Illinois Food Bank to assist in the response to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“A special thank you to Tim Corcoran, Board Member, for identifying the need of this great organization and bringing it before the board,” stated MAA President Ryan Montgomery.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank is the source of nutritious food, innovative feeding programs, and hope for more than a half a million people each year. Prior to the COVID‐19 crisis, their mobile pantries served 125 households on average at each distribution. During the COVID-19 crisis, they’ve been serving over 200 families at mobile pantries and are increasing distributions from an average of 10 per week to 18.

“While all support is greatly appreciated, financial donations of any size will help support the Food Bank’s operations during this time of increased need. Every $1 donated helps to provide $8 in groceries for our neighbors,” continued Montgomery.

“The donation from the MAA will provide $80,000 in groceries for those who need it most.”
