The company invested an undisclosed amount to build the plant for the purposes of growth, market diversification and risk management. The plant is located in the Xaloztoc Petrochemical Park, between Mexico City and the Port of Veracruz.

The plant was inaugurated on March 4 with a ribbon cutting by Mr. Héctor González Navarro, GM of Propysol and by Lic. Jorge Luis Vázquez Rodriguez, Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO) of the Government of the State of Tlaxcala. The ceremony included a tour of the facilities, from the unloading platforms for raw materials to their storage platforms to the adsorption tower trains for propellant purification.
