Trivium Packaging has won numerous industry awards this autumn…

Canmaker 2021 Cans of the Year Awards

Trivium was recognized with six awards at The Canmaker magazine’s 2021 Cans of the Year Awards. Trivium received two awards for its work with aerosol cans in Personal Care products—a Silver in the “Aerosol Can” category for its packaging design with Eva NYC Hairspray, an Impact-extruded can that uses 25% recycled aluminum; and Silver in “Decoration & Print Quality” for its Impact-extruded aluminum aerosol can with Unilever’s Rexona Now United deodorant.

Sweeping the Beverage “Bottles” category, Trivium took home Gold, Silver and Bronze for its innovation, design and eco-conscious 100% infinitely recyclable beverage packaging. RainForest Artesian Water’s 500ml bottle, made from alloy with 25% recycled aluminum, received Gold; Pelee Island Winery’s Lola Wine 250ml impact-extruded aluminum bottle was awarded Silver; and Trivium’s Specialty Coffee Drink Bottle, resealable and made from impact-extruded aluminum, took home Bronze.

Awarded Gold in the “Food Two Piece” category was Trivium’s drawn aluminum seafood can, with full-aperture easy-open end, for Titus Sardines.

IMDPA Excellence in Quality Awards

Trivium was awarded two 2021 International Metal Decorating & Packaging Association (IMDPA) Excellence in Quality Awards. In the category Excellence in Quality, Trivium Packaging (USA) was awarded the Best of Category for its Gen Z Water bottle.

The Award of Excellence was awarded to Trivium Packaging (France) for the Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc bottle, which was launched following the success of the Disney film “Frozen II.”  Developed, produced, and filled in France, this 300ml can holds Mont Blanc’s thermal water spray.  Trivium’s  printing knowledge was applied to the vision for this container resulting in successful development, using metallic inks.

Hallbars Food & Drink Sustainability Awards

Further, Trivium’s 2021 Sustainability Report was awarded Best in World at the Hallbars Food & Drink Sustainability Awards within the categories of E05 Packaging, and G02 Well-Being & Innovation. Hallbars recognizes companies from 51 countries for their sustainability reports, as they showcase organizations at the cutting-edge of waste reduction and environmental sustainability.

EcoVadis

Trivium was recognized with a Platinum medal, the highest-ranking available, in the 2021 EcoVadis sustainability ratings. EcoVadis reviews a participating organization’s performance across four judged categories: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This recognition is given for exemplary work across each of the four pillars spanning environmental impact and workforce health. The coveted Platinum designation, reflects the dedication Trivium Packaging has to sustainability, said the company.

Silver Pentaward

Additionally, Trivium was awarded the Silver Pentaward, recognizing excellence in packaging design, for its TITUS project. This project was carried out in partnership with the iconic TITUS sardine products in Morocco, as the company made the transition from steel to aluminum packaging. Together, Trivium created three unique, color-coded designs to differentiate TITUS’ products, while maintaining an eco-conscious environmental footprint.

“Our passion for Sustainability drives every decision we make at Trivium, and we take great pride in these awards as they further underscore our mission to reliably deliver, high-quality, innovative, and sustainable packaging,” says Jenny Wassenaar, VP Sustainability, Trivium. “We continuously focus on excellence and innovation – be it with our eco-friendly packaging designs, organizational philosophies, or supply chain – our strong teamwork lays at the foundation of what we’ve been able to accomplish thus far.”
