Thomas (Tom) Siciliano Jr. of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 79.
Siciliano was a long-time aerosol chemist with Lenn & Fink Corp. (a precursor to Reckitt-Benckiser) and a long-time member of the CSMA/CSPA (now Household & Commercial Products Association or HCPA) Aerosol Manufacturing & Storage Standards Committee, as well as the Chair of the Aerosol Products Division Executive Board for several years.
He was an expert in aerosol formulation chemistry and aerosol laboratory operations and safety. He served on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)/industry task force that created the first edition of NFPA 30B, Code for the Manufacture & Storage of Aerosol Products (first published in 1990), and also served on the NFPA Technical Committee on Aerosol Products for several years representing Lenn & Fink through the 2007 edition of the code. After retirement from Lenn & Fink, Siciliano worked as a laboratory consultant to the aerosol industry for several years.
