BOA Ignite sports energy aerosol supplement to launch in January

Written on: December 26, 2022 by SprayTM

BOA Nutrition has launched BOA Ignite, an oral aerosol sports energy supplement, that claims to elevate athletic performance. Created using BOA’s patented OraBlast technology to deliver atomized nutrients which are rapidly absorbed, Ignite provides caffeine, B vitamins and electrolytes, as well as fast-acting and slow-acting carbohydrates, all within a two-second spray.

BOA Ignite is now available for pre-order and will be shipping starting on January 15, 2023.

BOA adds that it has a deep understanding of athletes’ needs and how quickly those needs can change during competition…

‘Athletes often don’t have time to wait for drinks, gels, bars or powders to take effect, especially when the body’s metabolism is under stress. Micro-dosing or ‘precision nutrition’ allows athletes to meet their individual needs by controlling how much or how little they receive in order to jump-start the metabolic engine and sustain optimal performance.’

The small, two-ounce canister has a similar look and feel as the company’s first product launch, BOA Endure. Through a citrus-flavored spray, Ignite’s concentrated, atomized nutrients are propelled into an athlete’s mouth and reportedly absorbed… ‘up to 10 times faster, removing the need for excessive fluid intake.’

“We’re proud of the way Endure disrupted the hydration market, and look forward to Ignite doing the same in the sports energy category,” said Jon Pritchett, CEO of BOA Nutrition.

“Our proprietary formulations combined with the aerosol mode of delivery is a game-changer that provides athletes with a distinct advantage in training and in competition.”

BOA Nutrition launched in 2020, working in collaboration with athletic training and sports nutrition experts at Duke University to create its fast-acting oral aerosol for nutraceutical applications. The company is developing a range of new products using the OraBlast technology to deliver specific benefits to both competitive athletes and everyday consumers.

The growing list of elite athletes using and endorsing BOA Nutrition products includes: former Duke basketball star and Minnesota Timberwolves first-round draft pick Wendell Moore Jr; two-time US Olympic marathoner Des Linden; US Olympic triathlete Morgan Pearson; US IRONMAN champion Sam Long; obstacle course champions Hunter McIntyre and Katie Knight; and LA Football Club forward Christian Torres.
