A graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University, Kawalchuk has held many key positions within PRECISION Valve Corp. He started in Operations, moving to Quality and Supply Chain, soon becoming VP & GM for North America. Promoted to General Manager of PRECISION Americas—which already included PRECISION’s entities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela—he took on a truly international dimension, accompanying PRECISION’s development on all continents, eventually becoming VP Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain.

Over the years, Kawalchuk also held the positions of VP of Manufacturing, VP of Sales and VP Technical. For the past three years, he had been an internal consultant for PRECISION, a position from which he was able to impart his extensive knowledge of aerosols and provide support to the group’s new management team.

In 2016, Kawalchuk joined the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) Board of Directors, which presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.

“All the years I have spent at PRECISION, from my early days with founder Robert Abplanalp and during the great years of expansion of this packaging worldwide, have been marked by passion,” noted Kawalchuk. “Passion for this aerosol industry and for this company, PRECISION, where I met so many great people over the years; but now it’s time to turn the page and devote myself to my other passions, especially wood carving.”

Robert Byrd, Regional Operational Director of PRECISION Americas, added, “Throughout my own years at PRECISION, I have always been impressed by John’s expertise and commitment. After more than 40 years with the Group, John has retained until today a tremendous drive and enthusiasm that motivates all who work with him. We all look forward to John’s happy retirement, but there is no doubt that we will miss his unique energy.”
