Aptar Beauty has created a new range of aerosol actuators that help eliminate the need for an overcap thanks to its twist-to-lock technology. Ringo, Nora and Tina—named in tribute to iconic artists—dispense foam, gel and spray formulas, covering the main applications for aerosols. The range breaks the codes of standard aerosols, featuring premium aesthetics, ecommerce capability and recycled material options, said the company.
The twist-to-lock technology means there is no cap to lose, providing convenience and the utilization of fewer material parts. The actuators are locked and unlocked with a simple “twist’”gesture; an audible click indicates when they are properly closed. The locking/unlocking system also limits the risk of breakage or leakage, making the range e-commerce capable and safe for on-the-go usage. Moreover, anti-slip ribs ensure a good grip in dry or wet conditions, such as the shower.
Each of the three actuators is designed for a specific use. Ringo comes with two types of nozzle for foam and gel applications and is suitable for shaving, hair styling or shower products. Nora features a small insert for gel application and is suited for shaving or shower gel products. Lastly, Tina is a spray actuator suitable for formulations such as hair spray, deodorant, sunscreen or body spray.
The three actuators boast an ultra-modern design, with clean lines and a matte finish. Their two-part composition allows bi-color decoration for a brand’s creative freedom. Ringo, Nora and Tina can be provided with a POM-free mechanism and up to 100% PCR (post-consumer recycled) content.
The twist-to-lock aerosol range is compatible with a ball valve, vertical valve or bag-on-valve, with two different skirt lengths (short and long).
