The Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) will present a three-part webinar series on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Readiness.

As the first U.S. packaging EPR reporting deadlines draw closer and the concept continues to gain momentum, it is essential for companies to get acquainted with this new reality of complex and challenging regulations. Building off of the Primer on Packaging EPR webinar that HCPA hosted in April, this series of EPR Readiness education modules and associated guidance documents will include a checklist of steps for companies to take to get ready for packaging EPR and a glossary of important terms commonly used with respect to EPR.

The three webinars to be presented are:

Prepare for Packaging EPR on Tuesday, May 21, at 1 p.m. EDT. This webinar, the first in a three-part education module series on packaging EPR regulations, will cover how producers can get ready for packaging EPR implementation, including, what producers need to do to prepare for packaging EPR, what steps and processes are involved, and what support producers will need.

Business Impacts of Packaging EPR on Tuesday, June 4, at 1 p.m. EDT.  The second in a three-part education module series on packaging EPR regulations, this course will cover financial aspects of packaging EPR, including what costs are associated with preparing for packaging EPR, what is known about fee obligations, and when costs will hit budgets.

Packaging EPR Up Close on Tuesday, June 18, at 1 p.m. EDT. The final part of the series on packaging EPR regulations will feature a discussion between HCPA members and other stakeholders engaged in the Producer Working Group at Circular Action Alliance and/or in State regulatory processes about strategic engagement, including issues of concern to Industry, how these issues are playing out in context, and what HCPA members need to consider in responding to issues of concern.

The rate to attend an individual webinar is $100 for HCPA members and $150 for non-members. A three-part bundle rate is also available at $250 for members and $400 for non-members. For additional information and to register, visit thehcpa.org.
