Aerosol veteran Sam Tameny passes away

Aerosol veteran Sam Tameny passed away on Nov. 30, 2024. He served the aerosol industry for 44 years.

His first job, after serving in the U.S. Navy, was at Western Filling. He was further employed at ATI, Gilbert Plastics and Risdon. In 1981, he joined Aerosol Services as Sales Manager, after which time he and his wife Connie started their own manufacturers’ rep business. Tameny closed out his career as West Coast Regional Sales Manager with CCL Container in 2006, having worked there for 23 years.

He was a member of the Board of Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB) for 15 years, serving as Membership Chair for five years.

“Sam donated countless hours of insightful leadership and service to us,” the WAIB said in a statement.

“He served on the WAIB Board of Directors, Chairing a number of committees during his time in the industry. His dedication and achievements during his time with us are valued, admired and a tribute to the sacrifice he and his wife Connie made on our behalf.”

Tameny is survived by his wife, Connie, two daughters, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
