NAA & WAIB merge to form one association

Written on: January 21, 2025 by SprayTM

On Jan. 15, 2025, the National Aerosol Association (NAA) board and membership voted to approve a merger with the Western Aerosol Information Bureau (WAIB). WAIB board and membership previously approved the agreement.

Below is a statement from the NAA and WAIB Presidents:

Over the past couple of decades, several factors have reduced the number of potential member companies for all aerosol associations. In order to realign with an industry that has fundamentally changed, NAA and WAIB have agreed to consolidate resources into one association that is stronger than either is separately to better serve their members.

Under the terms of the agreement the combined entity will operate as NAA and WAIB will be dissolved. All existing WAIB members will become NAA members for 2025. NAA will continue WAIB initiatives including the mistunderstood.com platform and the WAVE internship program. NAA will create a California committee to ensure continued focus and “boots on the ground” in the most important regulatory arena for the industry. Finally, NAA will increase the number of annual board meetings from two to four as well as offer an annual member meeting in the Western US in years opposite of the Aerosol Summit.
