Bill Auriemma, President & CEO of Diversified CPC International and Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) Board Chair, will be speaking at the Montreal Protocol Medical & Chemical Technical Option Committee (MCTOC) meeting, March 1-3 in Manchester, UK. Auriemma will discuss the U.S. industry’s perspective on the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) in aerosols. He will also provide an overview of U.S. federal and state air quality regulatory activities impacting the aerosol industry. Under the 2016 Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, 197 countries agreed to phase out HFCs by cutting their production and consumption by more than 80% over the next 30 years. As part of that commitment, MCTOC is looking at the application of HFCs and will be providing advice to the Parties to the Protocol on their global phase down.
